Llyod Sanchez

This online memorial was created in loving memory of Isidro "Lloyd" Sanchez, whose life story is told throughout this memorial website.

Isidro "Lloyd" Sanchez was born in Boise, Idaho and lived his life in Indio, California. Lloyd as known to his friends and family, graduated from Indio High School and worked for many years with his father drilling water wells throughout the Coachella Valley. He then moved over to become a security officer at Arm-Tech in Coachella. His many years with the love of comics, helped him then get a job at UC Comics in Palm Desert. The comic book store afforded Lloyd many friends and his gift of "gab" helped keep those friends.

Lloyd loved comics and books. The Comics of Batman, Strangers in Paradise, and Vampirella. Books such as Dune, Lord of the Rings, The Door into Summer..

Lloyd's music was just as eclectic from Country music of Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn and Reba, to Classic Rock of ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin and Eric Clapton, to Old Rhythm and Blues of B.B. King, Etta James and Aretha Franklin.. Lloyd was also a fanatical Raiders Fan I think he was born with it. He always stated no matter how bad they were he would never give up on them and we would always try to go to the Raiders verses Chargers game around his birthday.

Please sign Isidro "Lloyd"'s guest book and let us know you came to visit. We will remember Lloyd forever.

Our old Friend

He Only Takes the Best

God saw that he was getting tired,

A cure was not to be.

So He put His arms around him and whispered, "Come with Me."

With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer,

And saw him fade away.

Although we loved him dearly,

We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

A friendly voice to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes "the best".
